Theft of Petroleum Products Cut Short in Serebryano-Prudsky District, Moscow Oblast

As a result of joint activities of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the city of Moscow and the Moscow Oblast, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the urban district of Serebryanye Prudy, Moscow Oblast, the security department of Transneft Upper Volga and Transneft Security branch, the Upper Volga Interregional Department for Departmental Security, theft of oil products from the trunk oil pipelines Ryazan – Tula – Orel was cut short. On 22 June 2017, when leaving the territory of the asphalt plant, a Volvo truck and its driver were detained with a container filled with 10 m³ of petroleum product.

When inspecting the territory of the plant a rubber-fabric reservoir partially filled with petroleum products with electric pump attached to it was found in one of the hangars.

In the course of further activities, a 725-meter pipeline connected to an unauthorized insertion into the main oil pipeline was found. The tie-in was liquidated.
